to the weather stations between Arica and Magallanes; which were on alert for the immediate observation of the "flying disks" that since yesterday noon, they assure, cross the skies of Chile.

"I was one of the people who saw a "flying disc" at 8:40 pm," said businessman Bronislaw Mysior S., married and father of a son - 1878 Avenue Viel - "At this time, I was in the Door Street waiting for my wife, who had gone shopping at the store in the area, when the Flying Disk was 900 meters high, it was round and even, without holes, it came from the Andes mountains going in the direction of the coast, it must have been at least 5 meters in diameter, of a very bright shining color, and it developed a fantastic speed. It went around all that side of the city and withdrew. It happened at 9:05 p.m."

Rosamel Bustos Gaete, 15, who lives near there, approached the journalist and said, "I also saw the flying disc, I was talking to my friend Apolinario Carrasco when "this thing" crossed the sky. We did not continue to talk because we had never seen anything like that before, then the plane passed, it passed 5 times and it left."

"A FLYING DISK HAS BEEN PHOTOGRAPHED IN SANTIAGO"

(The photo is reproduced, very good, captured "the day before yesterday" from the terraces of San Cristóbal by the Observatory of Salto, which says that it could also be a meteorite. This recalls a phenomenon called "tears of San Lorenzo", which would have taken place in South America in the years 1834, 1837 and 1838 in July, August and November. The Salto observatory has already received 15 reports on flying discs in Chile).

Puerto Montt - Valdivia

This morning at 11:50, Mr. Carlos Miranda Reyes, technician of the Bacteriology Section of the Vitamin Oil Production of the Angelmo School of Artisans observed in the south of the Calbuco volcano a giant disk descending from a high altitude, hovering like a leaf. Immediately, he called several factory workers, including: Uberlindo Soto, Mario Aguero, Aladino Núñez and Rafael Ojeda, to observe the phenomenon.

They calculated that the disk measured 50 meters in diameter and produced bright lightning, having taken about two minutes to disappear behind the mountain range that the Calbuco volcano forms.

This news caused great excitement in the city and many people devoted themselves to constant surveillance of the sky, hoping to observe the phenomenon again.

In this regard, I must point out that yesterday, Friday, at five o'clock in the afternoon, one saw the disc in the city of Valdivia, according to the telegram which is in my possession, sent to the local radio by the director of the South Valdivia radio station, which reads: "From the north of Bomberos district, towards the south, one saw a flying disk whose characteristics are: it produced a bright light that lit and extinguished intermittently, released gaseous vapor, from when it was first seen to until it was lost from sight on the horizon, there were about five minutes. This telegram is signed by Mr. Charpentier, director of Valdivia station.

Estaciones meteorológicas ubicadas entre Arica y Magallanes, que estuvieran alertas para la observación inmediata de los “discos voladores", que desde mediodía de ayer se asegura que están cruzando sobre cielos de Chile.

"Yo fuí una de las personas que vieron pasar un “disco volador" a las 20.40 horas " declaró el comerciante Bronislaw Mysior S., casado y padre· de un hijo, Av. Vie l 1878 - 11 A esa hora me encontraba en la puerta de calle esperando que llegara mi señora esposa que había ido a comprar al almacén de la esquina, cuando pasó el Disco Volador como a 900 m. de' altura. Era redondo y parejo, sin ningún orificio. Venía de la cordillera de Los Andes, en dirección a la costa. Tendría por lo menos 5 m. de diámetro, de color claro muy brilloso, y desarrollaba una velocidad fantástica. Pasó una sola vez, y varias personas que se encontraban conversando en. la calle también lo vieron. No se detuvo ni una sola vez. Diez minutos más tarde, vimos pasar también un avión de la FACH, que empezó a dar vueltas por todo este sector hasta llegar al cerro San Cristóbal, operación que repitió 5 veces, apagando de manera intermitente la luz blanca y dejando encendida la roja. Después de dar vueltas por todo este lado de la ciudad, e retiró. Esto sucedió como a las 21.05 horas".

Rosamel Bustos Gaete, de 15 años, que vive cerca de ahí se acercó al periodista y declaró "Yo también ví el disco volador. Estaba conversando con mi amigo Apolinario Carrasco cuando 'esa cosa' pasó por el cielo. Palabra que nos asustamos porque nunca habíamos visto algo semejante. Después pasó el avión, dio 5 vueltas y luego se fué".

"DISCO VOLADOR HABRIA SIDO FOTOGRAFIADO EN SANTIAGO"

(Se reproduce foto, muy buena, captada "antenoche" desde terrazas del San Cristóbal por el Observatorio del Salto. Dice que podría ser también un meteorito. Se recuerda un fenómeno llamado "lágrimas de San Lorenzo", que se habría producido en Sudamérica en los años 1834, 1837 y 1838 en julio, agosto y noviembre. El observatorio del Salto ha recibido ya 15 informes sobre discos voladores en Chile).

Puerto Montt - Valdivia

Esta mañana a las 11,50, el señor Carlos Miranda Reyes, técnico de la Sección Bacteriológica de Producción de Aceite Vitaminado de la Escuela de Artesanos de Angelmó, observó en la dirección sur del volcán Calbuco un gigantesco disco que descendía de gran altura, planeando como una hoja. Inmediatamente llamó a varios operarios de la planta, entre ellos: Uberlindo Soto, Mario Agüero, Aladino Núñez y Rafael Ojeda, para que observaran el fenómeno.

Calculan que el disco medía 50 metros de diámetro y producía vivos destellos, habiendo demorado unos dos minutos en desaparecer tras el macizo cordillerano que forma el volcán Calbuco.

Esta noticia ha provocado gran expectación en la ciudad y son muchas las personas que se han dedicado a vigilar constantemente el cielo, esperando observar nuevamente el fenómeno.

A este respecto, debo informar que ayer viernes, a las cinco de la tarde, se pudo ver el disco en la ciudad de Valdivia, según telegrama que obra en mi poder, dirigido a la radioemisora local por el director de la radioestación Sur de Valdivia, cuyo texto dice: "Desde el norte del Cuartel de Bomberos, en dirección sur, vimos disco volador cuyas características son: produce viva luz que se prende y se apaga con intermitencia, despide vapor gaseoso. Desde que apareció hasta que se perdió en el horizonte, demoró aproximadamente cinco minutos. Firma este telegrama el señor Charpentier, director de la emisora de Valdivia.
