MAURS. -- A craft in our sky:
From sunrise on, our whole locality was in turmoil and everyone gathered on the Place de la Grande-Fontaine to witness the evolutions of a mysterious, very shiny, oval-shaped craft that was moving slowly while launching a thousand reflections of changing colors.
The telescopes made their appearance: the most frequented was a navy telescope, mounted on a tripod where, in turn, many curious people took their turn. Finally, at the daily siren call announcing noon, everyone dispersed more and more skeptical, thinking that, perhaps, Maurs-la-Jolie also had its flying saucer.
It was probably a weather balloon.
