CASE #1. - August 9, 1952. - DEPARTMENT OF CERRO LARGO. MELO. - 10 (ANI). - Five responsible neighbors domiciled in the First Plural Section of the Department, claim to have observed yesterday evening as of 20 hours, during 10 minutes, a strange luminous body moving in space. The witnesses are Misters Manlio Zamora, Gualberto García, Pedro García, Mrs. Gregaria Novo García and Miss Iris García. The quoted people express unanimously that after having heard a strange noise, they came out in the court of their common residence, and managed to observe in space a luminous element of circular form, surrounded by lights and with an apparent size similar to that of the sun. In its way, it left a silver color wake which then changed to various colors at the disappearance of the object behind the horizon. MELO. - 11 (ANI). - Mr Felix Altieri, Astronomy Professor at the Departmental College, located in the afternoon of yesterday an unknownt flying objec. He stated that at approximately 04:15 p.m., he saw from his residence in this city, a flying disc, somthing which his parents also managed to observe. It was a brilliant body, of an apparent diameter bigger than three times the Planet Venus. At the time of its most important brightness, its shape gave the impression to be that of an ellipsoid; it moved without noise and without leaving a trail. It was at a height of some 40 degrees above the horizon and it moved regularly in a south-western direction, while decreasing its size as it moved away. The duration of the observation was of some two minutes, until the object was lost from sight in the distance. CASE #3. - August 11, 1952. - CONCHILLAS.- DEPARTMENT OF COLONIA. Misters R. Grandich, P. Nemmer, Magrini, Lacaba, Gremasco and Touriño observed during some 4 minutes, an object in the shape of a disc, luminous, very shining, which changing color that varied to a bluish green to reddish bright; it girated at a great height and then went up at a high speed. There wer probably many witnesses since practically all the population of the locality commented on the event. CASE #4. - August 13, 1952. - MALDONADO.- DEPARTMENT OF MALDONADO Mr. C. Dominguez managed to observe at 07:36 p.m. a luminous object, very shining, of reddish color similar to the flame of a blowtorch of welding, which remained during one minute oscillating in the air, stopping to take speed quickly and to disappear. The night was clear and there were weak clouds. The object moved north to south, left no trail, and no noise was heard. It suddenly accelerated its pace, while going up quickly; it crossed the clouds and disappeared. There were other witnesses, among those Misters Hugo Nieves, Carlos Zeballo, Victor Krunschinsky, Hectór Urbin, Mrs. Casa de Nieves, etc. All confirmed the details reported by Mr. Dominguez. Such are the cases corresponding to the year 1952. |

CASO No 1. - 9 de agosto de 1952. -DEP. DE CERRO LARGO. MELO. - 10 (ANI). - Cinco responsables vecinos domiciliados en la Primera Sección Plural del Departamento, afirman haber observado anoche desde las 20 horas, por un lapso de 10 minutos, un extraño cuerpo luminoso desplazándose en el espacio. Los testigos son los Sres. Manlio Zamora, Gualberto García, Pedro García, Sra. Gregaria Novo de García y Sta. Iris García. Expresan unánimemente las citadas persones, que luego de oir un ruido extraño, salieron al patio de su domicio común, pudiendo observar en el espacio un cuerpo luminoso de forma circular, rodeado de luces y con un tamaño aperente similar al del sol. En su trayecto dejaba una estela color plata que luego se transformó en diversos colores al desaparecer el objeto en el horizonte. CASO No 2. - 10 de agosto de 1952. MELO. - 11 (ANI) .- El señor Félix Altieri, Profesor de Cosmografía del Liceo Departamental, localizó en la tarde de ayer un extraño objeto volador. Manifestó que aproximadamente a la hora 16 y 15 avistó desde su domicilio en esta ciudad, un disco volador, cosa que también pudieron observar sus familiares. Se tratraba de un cuerpo brillante, de un diámetro aparente superior a tres veces el Planeta Venus. En el momento de su mayor brillo su forma daba la impresión de ser la de una elipsoide; se desplazaba sin ruido y sin dejar estela. Se hallaba a una altura de unos 40 grados sobre el horizonte y se movía regularmente en dirección suroeste, disminuyendo de tamaño a medida que se alejaba. La duración de la observación fue de unos dos minutos, hasta que el objeto se perdió a lo lejos. CASO No 3. - 11 de agosto de 1952. - CONCHILLAS.- DEP. DE COLONIA. Los Sres. R. Grandich, P. Nemmer, Magrini, Lacaba, Gremasco y Touriño observaron durante unos 4 minutos, un objeto de forma de disco, luminoso, muy brillante, que variaba de color desde el verde azulado al rojizo claro; giraba a gran altura y luego ascendió a gran velocidad. Sin duda hubo muchos testigos más ya que prácticamente toda la poblacion de la localidad comentó el suceso. CASO No 4. - 13 de agosto de 1952. - MALDONADO.- DEP. DE MALDONADO El Sr. C. Dominguez pudo obscervar a la hora 19 y 35 un objeto luminoso, muy brillante, de color rojizo similar a la llama de un soplete de soldadura autógena, que permaneció por espacio de un minuto balanceandose en el aire, para de pronto tomar velocidad y desaparecer. La tardo era clara y había nubes bajas. El objeto se trasladaba de norte a sur, no dejaba estela, ni se oyó ruido alguno. Súbitamente aceleró su marcha, ascendiendo rápidamente; atravesó las nubes y desapareciendo. Hubo otro testigos, entre ellos los Sres. Hugo Nieves, Carlos Zeballo, Victor Krunschinsky, Hectór Urbin, Sra. Casa de Nieves, etc. Todos ellos coincidieron en los detalles aportadas por el Sr. Dominguez. Tales son los casos correspondientes al año 1952. |
