Many testimonies agree: an elongated cigar-like shape was observed Tuesday evening, precisely at 9:55 p.m., between the Arcachon Basin and the Bordeaux-Bayonne motorway. The phenomenon lasted about a minute. Some initially thought to see a plane on fire attempting to make its approach to the M rignac airport but found that the form in question did not move ahead. Observers also noted that when the yellow light had lost its intensity a strong trail had appeared at the back, as well as circles below the mysterious cigar. Only point on which the testimonies diverge: some heard the noise of an explosion, others did not.
Whatever that may be, no explanation has yet been provided by scientists and the military.
