YESTERDAY AGAIN, new witnesses came to us regarding the mysterious whistling sound heard by a La Rochelle resident in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday (see our issues for of Thursday 13 and Friday 14, March).
A resident of Saint-Jean-de-Liversay, north-east of La Rochelle, heard the phenomenon between 10:45 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.. Having shared this with friends, staying at the Richelieu home in La Rochelle, that is by the sea, the latter then told him that at the same time, they were highly intrigued by an abnormal glow in the sluice of Antioche.
Even in Saintes a cleaning woman in a car, with her husband, stopped her vehicle to try to locate the origin of hissing sound!
The distance between the capital of Saintonge [Saintes] and the department capital [La Rochelle] can only cast doubt on the explanation provided by a woman of La Rochelle. According to the latter, it was just an alarm siren from a supermarket located street of Jericho, La Rochelle, that had the unfortunate habit of inadvertently start!
The narration made by a resident of Lagord comes, moreover, to confirm the doubts that on may have in respect of this version.
"It must have been 3:45 in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. The shutters were closed. I was awake, while my wife was sleeping. The whistling sounds were quite lound and haunting. But they were also very intense and monotonous at the same time. I was certainly not oppressed but very impressed, not knowing where these whistling sounds could come from. I think it might actually be a UFO, the sound seeming to come from overhead.
I woke up my wife and she heard the whistling sounds. We even saw a moped driver stop and look up. Undoubtedly, the whistling sounds were real. After a moment, the whistling sounds moved away and disappeared completely. We were relieved, but for my part, I would like an explanation. I must say that this is the first time I witnessed such phenomena!"
