Loire-Atlantique:
Was it a UFO?

A 10-year-old boy of Nort-sur-Erdre (Loire-Atlantique) claims to have seen a UFO Monday morning around 5:00, and holds a sound recording that, according to him, is the noise emitted by the unidentified flying object.

Young Laurent, according to the police, never contradicted his testimony, and said that, awakened by a noise, he had put on his tape recorder before opening his window and seeing a large round slightly oval tilted orange mass" about 6 to 10 meters above the ground. Investigators could not find any trace.

Also according to the boy, the UFO emitted a noise that stopped shortly before it took off. In all the sound and luminous phenomenon lasted 5 to 10 minutes while the sound recording is forty seconds long.

The investigation is ongoing and one of the policemen said that "it sounds plausible."

Note: the "Laurent" case was the last case investigated by the GEPAN official group within the CNES (national space center) in France, before it became SEPRA then GEIPAN. There was no conclusion as far as I know. At the spot where the UFO was located, samples of the vegetation were made and analyzed by Professor Bounias - as in the famous Trans-en-Provence case - and he reportedly found "interesting things" (Roussel, "OVNI - Les v rit s cach es de l'enqu te officielle", page 204, 1994).
