Even imagination seems to be outpaced by the "saucers, cigars and other bizarre objects" that have been crisscrossing the sky without pause for several weeks now.
Now, cigars even have satellites. It's not far from looking like cigarette butts...
From Mulhouse, two people reported seeing a luminous object in the sky over Rixheim, near Mulhouse. Using binoculars, they observed it was shaped like a long cigar. A dozen smaller cigar-shaped satellites surrounded it. A railway worker on night duty reported witnessing the same phenomenon. They didn't say if the cigars were lit!
From Bessèges, two residents of the commune of Foussignargues, near Bessèges, reported seeing in a field near their home, on the night from Sunday to Monday, a bright red luminous craft surrounded by vertical rods. Now that's new!
Thursday morning, around 11:45 a.m., many people observed in the sky at a very high altitude a mysterious craft shaped like a long, shiny balloon. The object came from the south and was heading northwest. Perhaps it belonged to Father Dupanloup.
From Nevers, Mr. Raymond Deloire, 20 years old, a farm worker in Langeron (Nièvre), who was riding his bicycle on the road to Saint-Pierre-le-Moutiers, saw in the sky a mysterious object in the shape of a half-sphere emitting a bright orange light from the front, with flames bursting out from the rear. The craft moved silently at great speed in a northeast direction. The other half must have gone into eclipse...
From Perpignan. At Mas de Bruzy, near Perpignan, several grape harvesters reported seeing a shiny object in the sky shaped like a saucer. After moving vertically while leaving a white trail, the object disappeared into the clouds...
