The story is well known: Mr. Mazeaud [sic] was cutting buckwheat in his field near Bugeat when a distinguished-looking man approached him and, after removing his helmet, shook his hand. Then, in a moment of emotional openness, he pressed him to his heart before returning to the stratosphere aboard a six-meter-long cigar-shaped craft, "with a buzzing sound like bees."
As our photo shows, after such a visit, Mr. Mazeaud seems to have had some difficulty recovering.
