Mr. François Pamart, City Councilor, returned to his home around 10:00 p.m. Friday the 5th of this month, when, on rue du Maire Coppeaux, he saw a craft in the sky very clear this night.
No confusion with the moon, since it was clearly visible almost on its full surface.
Shooting observer in the army, Mr. Pamart was able to technically detect the lengths, speeds and volume of this craft. For five to six seconds he saw a craft of round shape, 8 to 10 meters in diameter at 8.800 or a thousand meters of height coming from the east and heading towards Féron - Avesnes at an approximate speed of one kilometer per second which corresponds to 3,600 km per hour.
This saucer had the shape of two plates placed one onto the other edge to edge of silver hue. Around, a luminous and yellow halo left a trail of darker shade tending to the orange hue.
A few other people also saw the object.
Mr. Pamart is a quiet man, with scrupulous honesty, exemplary calm and a very well-known seriousness. These statements, which may seem strange, cannot be questioned, however.
