A UFO IN THE SKY OF ARQUES?

Was the U.F.O. seen Monday evening in Librecourt be the same one which, a few moments later, crossed the sky of Arques? One would be tempted to believe it, according to the account of Misters Oldrich Baron of Hazebrouck and Francis Lefebvre, of Saint Olmer, both guards at the crystal-glassmaking manufacture of Arques.

They is indeed at 11:40 p.m. very precisely -- Mr. Baron noted the hour -- whereas they were patrolling, that they saw above them a luminous ball, at a distance which they very roughly estimate as of 1.000 or 2.000 meters. This appearance had the size of a "large headlight" or a "beach balloon", was very luminous, of a purple red in the front and white at the back which flickered.

According to the two witnesses, the direction taken was that of East to West, but they could follow the trajectory of this machine which did not make any noise only for two or three minutes.
