PARIS. -- If there is a topic on the agenda, especially since the publication of certain photograph taken during a flight of "Concorde", it is that of the U.F.O. (unidentified flying objects).
But this is the first time that an incumbent Minister of the Armed Forces, Mr. Robert Galley, in this case, has agreed to talk about it publicly. Responding to questions from our colleague Jean-Claude Bourret, on the antennas of "France-Inter", he defended himself from speaking of "aerial phenomenon."
"These visual phenomena - I say no more - have aspects that are unexplained or poorly explained, he said. They represent a problem... so far."
Reporting on the testimonies collected between 1954 and 1970 by a special section, called reflection office, of the Ministry of the Armed Forces, Mr. Galley declared that it was necessary to adopt, with regard to these phenomena, an attitude of completely open mind, "that is to say those which do not consist in a priori rejection".
