YSSINGEAUX, November 1st (A.F.P.) -- A merchant from Yssingeaux spotted a large glowing ball in the sky last night around 9 p.m., with a tail emitting sparks. As the object was descending at a dizzying speed, the observer believed it to be a plane falling in flames. But suddenly, it halted its descent, moved away, and disappeared. The phenomenon lasted between 10 and 15 minutes.
CLERMONT-FERRAND, November 1st (A.F.P.) -- Residents of LĂ©zeux (Puy-de-Dôme) saw an orange "crescent" moving silently in a northwest to southeast direction yesterday. The phenomenon could be observed for about half an hour.
