The two authors indicate that on October 4, 1954 at an unknown time in Valence in the departement of the Drôme, "military personal specialized in the detection of planes" noticed, during a exercise, a strange machine which flew at very high altitude, in broad daylight.
It progressed in sorts of spirals. They could observe the machine during a few minutes.
The authors indicate that the source is Le Dauphiné Libéré for October 7, 1954.

OBSERVATION: The witnesses noticed during a flight at very high altitude, in broad daylight, an unusual craft which moved in kinds of spirals. They were able to keep the craft only for a few minutes in their optical device.

It progressed in kinds of spirals. They managed to observe the machine during a few minutes."
