[Ref. js1:] JEAN SIDER:

French ufologist and author Jean Sider learned in an article in page 3 of the newspaper Le Courrier Picard of Amiens, for October 6, 1954, these details of an observation of October 4, 1954, at 07:00 p.m. in Millencourt-en-Ponthieu in the department of the Somme:

An owner of Caours-d'Heure, cyclist, who was to entrust his adventure only to his children domiciled in Abbeville, saw an enormous illuminated mass at the top of the hill of Millencourt.

He initially thought that is was a heavy lorry driven by people whom he mistook for cattle robbers. "He watched out for a few minutes, did not see anything but was dazzled." He then felt suddenly tired, went away and tried to find his bicycle. The bicycle had been put at a usual place, but he found it only after ten minutes of search, because he was a little upset by the light which emerged from the machine. He saw the machine little after above the wood of Saint-Riquier.
