Marseilles, December 17. -- Since the appearance of flying saucers, the smallest celestial phenomena are carefully observed and awake a legitimate curiosity.
Several times we have had reports of the presence of craft in the Marseilles sky. Mr. Blanco, guard at the Fournier-Ferrier factory, reported to us on a sighting he made this morning: "I was in Redon, this morning, around 6:10 a.m., he said, when suddenly I saw at a great height, a huge fireball passing at tremendous speed. It was heading southeast. The phenomenon lasted 2 or 3 seconds. I shouted to alert two men who were passing by, but the fireball was already gone, leaving behind a brilliant double-drag, which in turn faded quickly."
This was most likely a meteor instead of a "flying saucer". Anyway, thanks to Mr. Blanco for reporting his observation.
