A number of horseback riders who had gathered for a small friendly evening at the La Rochette equestrian center claimed to have seen, around 8:30 p.m., in the glow of their car headlights, a strange, very low figure, which they insisted "had nothing human about it."
The figure soon disappeared into the woods, the riders said. The witnesses provided vague descriptions of this strange being, even going so far as to mention two tubes in its nose and a complete absence of arms and legs.
In our opinion, this is a minor case of collective post-party hallucination—or perhaps a playful hoax.
