MEXICO, 24. -- (AFP). -- a flying saucer landed in this capital last Thursday at an early hour, left a message engraved on a strange metal, and flew off, says the newspaper "El Grafico".
The news was given by two students of the National Polytechnic Institute who - they say - were the witnesses present at the unusual occurrence. The metal is being submitted today for an examination at the laboratory of that institute.
This story, seemingly as fantastic as the one given to the afternoon newspaper "Ultimas Noticias" by various students in the capital, has been partly confirmed by a reporter and a photographer of "El Grafico." Both were in the vicinity of the Polytechnic Institute where the students stated the saucer landed and both could see how the grass in a field was burned, and how there were holes in the soil made by a gigantic tripod.
The students' story, reported by the newspaper, says that at 08:30 a.m., a large luminous vehicle with a cuppola on top settled in a field near the Polytechnic Institute to land. The vehicle used a gigantic tripod at the rear. The apparatus had a kind of radiator which, upon descent burned the grass of the entire area.
From the disc, two small beings, 80 centimeters tall, came out, wearing a kind of gas mask on the face. under the eyes of the stunned and courageous students, they put a piece of strange metal on the ground; which is examined today in the laboratory of the Polytechnic Institute. Then the beings returned to the saucer and it rose up again.
