ANGERS. -- Mr. Hardy, 40 years old, a mason, was riding his bicycle to work yesterday morning around 6 a.m., from Beaulieu-sur-Layon to Angers, when he was struck twice, one kilometer apart, by a beam of light about two meters long, sweeping from left to right and then in the opposite direction. The beam strongly shocked Mr. Hardy and gave him the impression of being electrocuted, as he felt intense tingling in his hands. Terrified, he took refuge at a farmer's house.
