LE MANS. -- Yesterday morning, at 6:30 a.m., Mr. Alexandre Tremblais, a milk collector for the Vinay chocolate factory, residing in Le Mans on Avenue Léon Bollée, was driving his truck on a small departmental road near Saint-Jean-d'Asse (Sarthe), close to the national road Le Mans-Alençon, when his truck suddenly stopped and its headlights went out.
Mr. Tremblais quickly got out and saw a luminous red and blue flying cigar, about one meter long, pass above him. The object disappeared over the horizon, and a few minutes later, Mr. Tremblais' truck engine restarted normally, and the headlights turned back on.
