THE "FLYING SPHERE"
OF UXEM HAS NOT DELIVERED
ITS MYSTERY

But it is probably a prank

The gendarmes of Rosendaël went Friday afternoon to M[???] where they questioned Mr. Maurice Gesquière, agricultural worker, about the discovery that he made in a field in Uxem.

Mr. Gesquière declared that he had indeed found the ro[???] sphere "in the state where it is currently namely: fitted with a "parachute" coarsely attached and which is not the original. Mr. Gesquière's employer confirmed what he said.

Thus, Rosendaël's gendarmes are in possession of an unidentified craft which has not landed in the field by its own means... nor by the piece of canvas with which it is provided and which is unable to play the role of parachute.

There is every reason to believe that the sphere was placed there by a prankster. If they find him, the gendarmes are determined to pass him a cigar... flying, of course.
