LONDON. -- A large number of people observed five luminous points in the sky of London, moving at very high speed, which quickly disappeared.
A few minutes later, the police precincts, the newsrooms of the newspapers and the air ministry itself were flooded of hundreds of phone calls reported the presence of extraordinary machines above London.
Questioned by the press, a spokesman of the air ministry could not give any precise indication, informinf however that bombers exercises were planned during the afternoon above the London area. The spokesman was unable to specify if these exercises had occurred in the very area where the craft were seen.
As for the witnesses, they are formal. They were not planes, because there were no contrails and the craft were luminous. Thus, the question arises once more: flying saucers... or mass hallucination?
