The press service of the U.S. Air Force announced last night that a "flying saucer" seized by the 509th Bombardment Group of the U.S. Air Force on a ranch near Corona (New Mexico) is currently being studied by the Army's Experimentation Services.
According to statements from the press service spokesperson, this "saucer" is difficult to describe. It reportedly resembles a kite and is made of a type of metallic paper.
The object in question was not seen in flight. However, it was recovered from a property near the Roswell airfield, from where it was sent to the Air Force Experimentation Services at Wright Field (Ohio).
The "saucer" was found a week ago, but its discovery was only made public last night. Near the "saucer," "fragments" were found, though their origin has not been specified.
A few hours later, the same press service announced that the object, initially believed to be a "flying saucer," was, according to the Experimentation Services, merely a meteorological instrument used by the U.S. Air Force.
