FLORENCE. -- A peasant woman from Poggi di Ambra, near Arezzo, encountered two "Martians" while she was on her way to the village church.
Mrs. Rosa Lotti, 40 years old, who reported her encounter to the carabinieri, stated that the two beings, about one meter tall, were dressed in a sort of diving suit.
However, she could not clearly distinguish their features as they wore leather helmets that partially concealed their faces. Both spoke in a language she did not understand. Suddenly, one of the men snatched the flowers she was holding in her arms, and quickly, the strangers moved toward a disk, two or three meters high, which was in a meadow, and they boarded it.
When the carabinieri arrived at the scene, the disk had disappeared, but they were able to observe traces on the ground indicating the presence of a circular-shaped craft.
