BUENOS AIRES, September 7, via special wire. -- Journalists, cameramen, and filmmakers experienced a hectic day yesterday. Indeed, the spiritualist circles of the city of Córdoba had announced that, in the evening, a flying saucer on a peace mission would appear in the sky over Buenos Aires.
Numerous confirmations supported this declaration. The magazine "Sophia" even provided the exact time: 10:35 PM. Meanwhile, the spiritualist George Duclaut claimed to have established contact with the captain of the saucer, who allegedly declared:
- I will make a friendly raid in the sky over Buenos Aires on September 6 at 10 p.m.
According to George Duclaut, the saucer originated from Ganymede, a satellite of Jupiter. Onboard the craft would be the pilot and super-intelligent superhumans on an important mission for humanity.
Taking advantage of the warm, clear weather, an enormous crowd gathered last night on the terraces of cafés, balconies, and the rooftops of Buenos Aires' buildings. Midnight passed under a clear, starry sky, where only the Southern Cross shone.
