HAMBURG. -- Since Sunday evening, newspapers, the police, and the Hamburg observatory have been bombarded with phone calls from thousands of people who had seen, around 6:30 p.m., a cigar-shaped object with a metallic shine speeding across the sky. Meanwhile, it was also reported that a "flying saucer invasion" had occurred over the weekend in the Scandinavian countries.
Later that evening, the Hamburg observatory reported that a meteorite had passed through the sky earlier in the day.
That may explain this.
