On the morning of May 13, three persons in three different locations of the Norrbotten province, Sweden, observed a "brilliant, silver colored sphere with a tail."
It was reported from Hammerfest, Norway, that on the same day, three bright objects passed over Kautokeino at great speed. They flew in V formation and disappeared towards the southwest. A deputy constable who had observed them with binoculars stated that they flew so high that he could not ascertain their shape but that they were no ordinary airplanes. He added that they seemed to be red on one side and white on the other and appeared to be rotating.
