A flying saucer (?) was sighted in Ablain-Saint-Nazaire on the evening of Sunday, October 3, by Mr. Louis Lherbier, General Insurance Agent, Rue Marcel Lancino. While in his yard, he was intrigued by the presence of a small reddish ball that seemed to move through the air in the direction of Villers-au-Bois. He focused his attention on this ball, which was moving toward Ablain and growing rapidly in size.
He then called his wife, as well as Mr. Robert Mairesse, a mining employee, and the latter’s wife. The four people saw the object clearly, which ultimately took on the shape of a pot spinning on itself.
Then, after a few minutes, this strange object quickly rose into the air and disappeared from sight.
Our correspondent assures us that one can place full confidence in the statements of Mr. and Mrs. Lherbier and Mr. and Mrs. Mairesse, and that it is certain this was by no means a hallucination on their part.
