DIEPPE. -- Between 4:30 and 5:15, seventy dockworkers from the port of Dieppe saw a blinding light. Four minutes later, a violent explosion woke most of the people of Dieppe. The explosion forced open many house doors and shattered windows. It is thought to have been a meteor.
About a week ago, a fishing boat arrived in Dieppe riddled with small fragments that could have come from a meteorite.
