Flying saucer

new sighting

CHOLET, November 22. -- A blacksmith from La Tessoualle, near Cholet (Maine-et-Loire), Mr. André Chaillou, was the victim of a new phenomenon.

On November 8, returning to his home in Louplande (Deux-Sèvres) by moped after nightfall, his attention was drawn to a blue disc. Suddenly, his headlight went out and his engine stalled. The disc grew larger, approached him, and he was enveloped in a blue light as intense as that of an electric arc.

For several minutes, he was unable to move his arms or legs, nor utter a word, remaining frozen beside his machine. He also felt tingling in his hands despite the gloves protecting them. The blue beam disappeared and Mr. Chaillou regained control of his faculties.

With his machine functioning normally, he resumed his journey. Two hundred meters further on, he noticed a new glow. He approached, but darkness fell, and after hearing a faint whistling sound, he saw a dark mass rise vertically and then disappear horizontally toward the north. This new glow formed a cone five to six meters long.
