FLYING SAUCERS...
A BIT EVERYWHERE

PERPIGNAN, September 29. -- A truck driver, who was collecting milk this morning around 6 a.m. near Cabestany (Pyrénées-Orientales), stated he saw in front of his vehicle "a shiny globe" of bluish color, "which was moving at an altitude of about 150 meters, producing a very soft humming sound".

Having stopped his truck, the driver was able to observe the maneuvers of the object for nearly fifteen minutes before it suddenly rose into the sky and disappeared in the direction of the sea.

LA ROCHELLE, September 29. -- A flying saucer was reportedly seen in Augé (Deux-Sèvres).

In addition, Mr. Picaud, the manager of a brewery in Sainte-Pozenne, declared he saw for a few minutes, while driving on the road to Fontenay-le-Comte, a curious, sparkling yellow disc.

BREST, September 29. -- The inhabitants of Landeda and Aberwrac'h (Finistère) saw this evening at high altitude a circular-shaped object resembling a "flying saucer".

MELUN, September 29. -- Several residents of the town of Rebais reported seeing a strange, very bright, circular object in the sky at nightfall, above Rebais.

Witnesses stated that the craft, which moved very slowly, then headed toward Coulommiers, increased its speed, and disappeared.

Yesterday morning, CRS officers also spotted a luminous disc in the sky, above Vaudoy.

MONTPELLIER, September 29. -- Mme Picot de la Baume, residing in Montpellier, declared she saw at an altitude of about 1,500 meters, a cigar-shaped, shiny object that appeared to be surrounded by a halo. The object, which she was able to observe for about a minute, suddenly disappeared eastward, silently and without leaving a trace.

In Morocco and Algeria

CASABLANCA, September 29. -- Reliable witnesses saw last night in the sky over Kourigra, a locality about 250 kilometers from Casablanca, a circular-shaped, red-colored object, moving at high altitude and great speed, which appeared to be emitting blue-green flames.

SAFI, September 29. -- An elongated-shaped object was seen last night around 10:30 p.m. in the sky over Safi by reliable witnesses. The "cigar" was moving at high speed from east to northwest. It was surrounded by a bluish light and left behind a luminous trail. The witnesses affirmed that this object had no connection with a jet aircraft.

In Bonn

BONN, September 20. -- Bonn, the capital of the Federal Republic, was reportedly overflown by flying saucers, according to the local correspondent of the newspaper General Anzeiger.

This newspaper published Thursday a photograph of a government employee and a housewife who claimed to have seen "unidentified flying objects" in the sky over Bonn. Several neighbors of the two witnesses reportedly confirmed their statements.

The newspaper does not specify the dates of these sightings, one of which was allegedly observed in broad daylight and the other at night.

"Flying saucers" said to drop anti-communist leaflets over Czechoslovakia

VIENNA, September 20. -- Flying saucers, regularly reported recently in Austria, are said, according to Vienna's "Bild Telegraf", to be remotely controlled devices used by certain powers to drop anti-communist leaflets over Czechoslovakia.

This newspaper reports that leaflets written in Czech were found near Eferding, in Upper Austria (Soviet zone), after the passage of two "luminous discs", whose maneuvers were observed by two gendarmes from a nearby village.

These leaflets, distributed by a group of émigrés from the "Czechoslovak Opposition" movement, urge the peasants of Czechoslovakia to leave the state-run agricultural collectives and cooperatives.

Two other daily newspapers also mention the testimony of several peasants who claim to have seen a "saucer" caught in the beam of a Soviet anti-aircraft searchlight.
