Ten days ago, Mr. André Narcy, 47 years old, a road worker in Mertrud (Haute-Marne), arrived at work completely out of breath: "I saw a flying saucer," he claimed. He gave many details: an orange-colored craft stopped in a field, a small being dressed in a fur-lined cloak, and a beautiful vertical takeoff of the mysterious object. In fact, Mr. Narcy could even show the spot. Along with two of his colleagues, Mr. Riel and Mr. Henry, he returned to the scene. All three stated that indeed, the dew had dried in a specific area, the grass had taken on "a slightly milky hue," and there were visible traces of "round feet," etc...
In short, after further questioning by the gendarmerie, Mr. Narcy has just admitted that he made the whole story up to justify his late arrival at work.
