São Paulo, December 6. -- Three flying discs "hovered" today for nearly two hours above the aeronautical field at Campo de Marte, in the Santana district of São Paulo.
All the officers and soldiers, as well as the staff on duty, were able to observe the objects closely through binoculars.
The colonel commanding the base ordered a jet pilot to pursue the flying discs, but they abruptly disappeared after making a vertical arc just as the plane was approaching them. An hour later, three discs — presumably the same ones — were seen flying over the Cumbica airport, on the outskirts of São Paulo.
The jet pilot declined to make any statements and submitted a report directly to the base commander.
