MAP LOCATES the "flying saucers" reports which poured into news offices recently, all in a 24-hour period. Strangely, even weirdly, they're all outside of the United States. The question is, are they "something" or is it just a fever that has spread from the "flying saucer" epidemic in America. (Central Press)
WEST GERMANY -- In Munster, man said he saw a cigar-shaped craft hovering six feet from the ground. In Frankfurt, pupils of a glider school told of "slightly swollen silvery disc" moving noiselessly.
BELGIUM -- Near Namur a man, carrier reported a "flying cigar" which rose as he approached. He said he saw two silhouettes "roughly human in shape" aboard.
LEBANON -- Disc reported hanging motionless over seashore while giving off faint white light. It took off vertically. Second report was of a red ball moving about 600 feet above the sea.
EGYPT -- In Alexandria several hundred witnesses told of a luminous object which changed from red to orange as it streaked through the sky.
THE FRENCH CAMEROON -- A "brilliant" object shaped like a mushroom reported hovering at 1,900 feet.
ARGENTINA -- Three motorists in Buenos Aires told of a luminous craft which hung motionless, then rose vertically at tremendous speed, trailing a stream of flames and making no noise.
