ALSACAT:

ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

Hello

Witness report received on our website

call for witnes light in horizontal move in the sky of alsace haut rhin sector between mulhouse and altkirch about a good twenty without starri sky

Discussion:

Map.

Oh, again "UFOs" flying above my house, and I missed them.

Of course, since all I found about it is a call for witnesses, no detail is given: no hour, no decent location (There are 11 km between the limit of Mulhouse and Altkirch) etc...

So, one may want to claim that this was a flotilla of extraterrestrial spacecraft or flying poltergeists rather than the usual flotilla of Chinese lanterns.

But I have a hard time believing this...

I shall note that on this day, a Sunday this an appropriate day for parties, starting at 12:00 there was the "Father's Day party" In Hausgauen, 4 km East of Altkirch, comprizing "animations", and the "National day of the mills", at the Hundsbach mill, near Altkirch, with "animations" also, and the "Streets Party" in Illfurth exactly between Mulhouse and Altkirch.

Evaluation:

Probable Chinese lanterns.
