ACUFO:

ACUFO is my comprehensive catalog of cases of encounters between aircraft and UFOs, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ACUFO catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file.

Case number:

ACUFO-1945-04-19-KRISTIANSUND-1

Summary:

In the 1990s - 2000s, British ufologist Andy Roberts collected several first-hand accounts from Royal Air Force aviators who encountered unidentified aerial phenomena during the Second World War.

It is said that he was able to get a report form completed for an incident that occurred on April 19, 1945, around 01:00 a.m., off the coast of Kristansund in Norway.

The aircraft of the witness, who was a machine gunner, would have been a Halifax III bomber, number P5-K, of the 297th Squadron of the Royal Air Force.

The sighting was reportedly of a star-like light above the plane, which approached the plane from the right side, then appeared stationary on the left side, then disappeared in a specific spot.
