In a general catalog of sighting reports of the Gironde written by the Bordeaux section of the C.F.R.U., published in the ufology magazine Ouranos in the fourth quarter of 1973, it is said that according to the Sud-Ouest newspaper for October 20, 1954, the following observation occurred:

Before that October 20, 1954, therefore, at 7 p.m., in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, one Miss Bordenave saw a green glow, then a disk "turning at a brisk pace" and heading west.

One Mr. Lufflade at Saint-Macaire reportedly made the same observation.

Before Oct 20, 54 7 p.m. Ste-Croix-du-Mont BA V3 Axe 2

Witness: Miss Bordenave on a bicycle near Malagar Castle. Long green glow, then disc turning at a brisk pace and heading west. Miss Bordenave very impressed made a fall. Same phenomenon seen by Mr. Lufflade in St-Macaire.
