In the appendix of the 1977 issue of his book on the 1954 French flap, on a map of the observations of October 3, 1954, in France, Aimé Michel plotted an observation in Saint-Quentin-en-Tourmont, with a symbol suggesting something luminous which descends to ground level. He said nothing about this observation in his book.
[Ref. aml1:] AIME MICHEL:
On a map of the observations of October 3, 1954, in France, Aimé Michel plotted an observation in Saint-Quentin-en-Tourmont, with a symbol suggesting something luminous which descends to ground level. He said nothing about this observation in his book.
Aimé Michel plotted the spot on a map wrongly, doubly, first of all since he wrote in fact that the object seen at Quend and Rue by Mr. Galland "suddenly accelerated, veered to the right and disappeared above Saint-Quentin-en-Tourmont towards the sea." It is therefore not a different observation from that of Quend and Rue, and it should not have appeared on a map as such, especially since it was a misinterpretation caused by the Moon.
