October 3, 1954, Nazin:

Reference for this case: 3-Oct-54-Nazin.
Please cite this reference in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

Summary:

In the 2010s, a German web database of UFO sightings, "UFODatenBank", recorded a case in "Nazin" in France, dated October 3, 1954.

No other information was provided, I found no other information myself, and "Nazin" does not seem to exist.

I left the affair there, when in February 2026, a very probable explanation was communicated to me by a ufologist from northern France: "UFODatenBank" most certainly wrote "Nazin" instead of Anzin. On October 21, 1954, in Anzin, an incident had taken place in which reflections of insulators from a power line were initially mistaken for "flying saucers."

Reports:

[Ref. ubk1:] "UFO-DATENBANK":

Case Nr. New case Nr. Investigator Date of observation Zip Place of observation Country of observation Hour of observation Classification Comments Identification
19541003 03.10.1954 Nazin France

Explanations:

1) I found absolutely no place named "Nazin" in France.

2) I did not find any other source referring to a case in "Nazin" in 1954.

So this is probably a "non-event".

Update as of February 27, 2026:

While searching for 1954 cases located on the "BAVIC" (Bayonne - Vichy) line, a ufologist from northern France discovered this Nazin case on my website and informed me on February 17, 2026, that it is in fact very probably the Anzin case - that is, the case of the insulators of October 21, 1954, in that locality.
