Aimé Michel indicated in his 1958 book that on Saturday evening, October 9, 1954, several inhabitants of Soubran in the Charente-Maritime saw a luminous spherical object: which landed rapidly in a pasture.

He gave as source the newspaper "Ouest-France" for October 12, 1954.

The author indicates that on October 9, 1954, several inhabitants of Soubran in Charente-Maritime, including Mr. J. Couillaud, Mr. Moreau, Jean Cotraux, Emile Doussin, saw a luminous spherical object, which landed in a pasture.

The two authors, ufologists, journalists, indicate that on October 9, 1954 in Soubran in Charente-Maritime, several inhabitants of this sector saw a spherical luminous object landing in a meadow.

They note that the information is sparse and comes from the catalogue by Jacques Vallée, case #216, in L.D.L.N. of November 1969.
