Summary:

The regional newspaper Le Nouveau Nord Maritime for October 24, 1954, reported on page 6 that "Thursday" - therefore on October 21, 1954 - in the evening, Mrs. Decobert-Delhaye, living on Vieille Rue in Audruicq, was in her kitchen when she heard an unusual noise, resembling a pendulum ticking.

She immediately went outside into the courtyard and was amazed to see in the sky, in the direction of Nortkerque, at a very low height, a ball of fire of multiple colors.

She was frightened, went home, and through the window, saw that the ball remained motionless, and a few moments later, she saw it clearly heading towards Calais.

The newspaper adds that other people had also noticed the passage of this phenoneme at the same hours.

The newspaper Nord Littoral for October 24, 1954 also, reported the same thing; however, the case seems to have been totally overlooked in the ufology literature.
