The report:

Subject: "UFO"
Date: March 30, 2007
From: [firstname].[name]@wanadoo.fr

At the beginning of the Nineties I was used as interpreter between a British woman and the Gendarmerie of Montreal de l'Aude (11 290) to whom she wanted to report that a UFO had occupied her garden. She described the thing as a not very luminous geometrical mass, at approximately a hundred meters of her house and with a circumference provided with flashing lights red, orange and blue. This woman was in an unusual state of excitation and stammered nonsensical descriptions. The Gendarmes had to refrain from bursting into laughter but I made my investigation. It was in a rather cold period, in a very stable atmosphere, without wind, and as the twilight fell after sunshine moments in the afternoon, I supposed that there could be an inversion temperature creating optical mirrors. I questioned the Firemen, the Gendarmes and I then discovered that exactly at the same time, there had been a collision on the motorway, approximately five kilometer from there, which had created a stopper with the ambulances, the Gendarmes and Equipment. Hence the color of the UFO lights. I concluded that what the British woman had seen was, in the last analysis, only a mirage. I tried to explain the thing to her but in vain, she never wanted to change her mind. This Gendarmerie report must exist somewhere.

My testimony is of little interest maybe.

Regards, thanks for reading me. [Initials]
