Project Sassalbo

Last 24 February at Scandicci (Florence), the first meeting was held between the promoters of "Project Sassalbo," having as its scope the studying of recurring luminous phenomena in the area of Sassalbo, the small Apennine town in the province of Massa e Carrara, which events came to light in the news following last summer's sightings.

The meeting, at which there were present representatives of the various ufological associations (CUN, C.I.S.U.) and of the Italian Committee for Project Hessdalen, had the purpose of defining the means by which to organize existing material, the methodology to be adopted in investigations, and the possibility and procedure for utilizing external collaborations.

Satellite Photo Of The UFO Over Monselice?

According to the statement made to the press by Antonello Lupino of the International UFO Center, the object sighted at very low altitude by two women in Monselice (Padua) on the evening of last 3 August was gigantic and was even photographed by a meteorological satellite.

There was in fact visible, in a Meteosat image captured at 10 p.m. that evening relative to the geographic coordinates for Monselice, a solid object having the enormous dimensions of approximately two square kilometers, which was not present in the subsequent scan at 10:30 p.m.
