END NOVEMBER 1980, TODMORDEN, WEST YORKSHIRE, U-K., A WOMAN:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

It was reported in a ufology bulletin of Northern England that near Todmorden, England, on late November 1980, at 01:00 a.m., a witness who was living in a rural farm area suddenly awoke from a deep sleep.

She then saw an orange light shining through her window and attempted to wake her husband but he did not respond. Looking outside, she saw that the light came from an oval shaped object, surrounded by a white halation, hovering in a nearby field.

She then suddenly found herself outside of the farmhouse sitting on the grass, looking at the object and three figures standing next to it. The figures were described as five-feet tall and wearing black colored diving suits. They stood in the shadows near a farm building.

She then found herself back in her bed attempting to wake up her husband.

The next day several of the chickens in the coop were found dead by the witness son.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Todmorden, England, on late November 1980, at 01:00 a.m., a witness who was living in a rural farm area suddenly awoke from a deep sleep. She saw an orange light shining through her window. She then attempted to wake her husband but he did not respond. Looking outside she noticed that the light originated from a hovering oval or football shaped object at a nearby field, it had a white aura around it. She then suddenly found herself outside of the farmhouse sitting on the grass, looking at the object and three figures standing next to it. The figures were described as five-feet tall and wearing black colored diving suits. They stood in the shadows near a farm building. She then found herself back in her bed attempting to wake her husband. The next day several of the chickens in the coop were found dead by the witness son.

Rosales indicates that the source is Steve Gerrard, quoting Northern UFO News #141.

Points to consider:

The meager report is not accompanied by clear elements about any investigation step and thus it is not possible to risk an assessment. For example, the experience beginning during the state of sleep, it would thus have been necessary that the continuation is of the nature of the conscious experience, or if it was the results of what one describes as "memories recovered by hypnotic regression session", in which case the whole case could be the result of hypnagogic hallucination and dream. For lack of this kind of information, the report hardly has any value.
