AUGUST 27, 1978, LAS SALINAS, TUCUMAN, ARGENTINA, NUNO GOMEZ:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

According to Albert Rosales about 2007, ufologist Fabio Picasso told that in Las Salinas, Tucuman, Argentina, on August 27, 1978, in the afternoon, Nuņo Gomez allegedly encountered in his house two short men-like humanoids, wearing gloves, black boots, and shiny metallic outfits.

They appeared to have severe "acne" on their faces. They then apparently disappeared.

Narratives:

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Las Salinas, Tucuman, Argentina, on August 27, 1978, in the afternoon, Nuņo Gomez reported encountering two short men like humanoids, wearing gloves, black boots, and shiny metallic outfits in his house. They appeared to have severe "acne" on their faces. They then apparently disappeared. No other information.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Fabio Picasso."

[Ref. ud1:] "UFODNA" WEBSITE:

The website says that on 27 August 1978 at 15:00 in Las Salinas, Tucuman, Argentina, "Nuno Gomez reported encountering two short men like humanoids, wearing gloves, black boots, and shiny metallic outfits in his house. They appeared to have severe "acne" on their faces. They then apparently disappeared. No other information."

The source indication is a broken link.

Points to consider:

Two things are remarkable with this case:

The first is the disastrous lack of quality of its documentation. Two sentences hardly, and it is absolutely not known where it actually came from, if there were an investigation, when it was first reported and so on. In other words, its value is null, as it stands so far. I searched in vain for any other source of reference in my documentation or on the web; which is hardly reassuring as for its veracity.

The second is its strong similarity with another case, also in Las Salinas, the same year, on September 10, 1978, which is much more documented. In both cases, the entities are 2, small, resemble humans, disappear, are seen indoor, wear brilliant outfits, boots, gloves.

It is however necessary to moderate the similarity which is not perfect: the September 10 entities' boots were bright blue, not black. Their outifts were brilliant also, but nothing is said about a metallic appearance.

And yet, one detail is decidedly stunning. The "severe acne" of the August 27 entities' faces do intriguingly match the faces that were described as like "damaged by variola" of the September 10 entities.

Then, it may be that we have here what nobody seems to have noticed up to now, two similar cases, close temporally and geographically.

Did the September 10 witnesses copy the previous story? It is a possibility, although in the case of September 10, there is no mention of the case of August 27 although an investigator obviously looked for UFO stuff in the same area to reinforce the September 10 case. The other possibility is that this alleged August 27 case was made up after the other.
