The British Flying Saucer Bureau reportedly said in their March 1980 bulletin that in Longcross, Bristol, U-K., on August 23, 1978, at 01:30 a.m., three young people saw a small black figure gliding quickly across a field.

It was described as 2 to 3 feet tall, apparently without any limbs, in upright position, gliding just above the grass.

At 02:30 the same people saw a van with a driver dressed in black and wearing sunglasses. In the passenger seat sat a huge humanoid figure about 8 feet tall with massive shoulders and a stump-like protrusion instead of a head.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Longcross, Bristol, England, on August 23, 1978, at 0130 a.m., three young witnesses saw a small black figure gliding quickly across a field. It was described as 2 to 3-foot tall apparently without any limbs. It appeared to have an upright stance and glided just above the grass. Later at 0230A the same witnesses saw a van with a driver dressed in black and wearing sunglasses. In the passenger seat sat a huge humanoid figure about eight-foot tall with massive shoulders and no head just a stump like protrusion.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Steve Gerrard, quoting British Flying Saucer Bureau News Bulletin 2/3 80, Vol. 2 #2."

Besides, we have "repeaters" here, seeing in the same night "beings" twice, very different "beings". I do no see why this could not be a case of impressive children confused by 1) some vehicle of person seeming to "glide" in a field because the wheels or feet are not visible, and 2) some object transported in the passenger seat of a van. Evidently there was no UFO here.
