Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Ufologist chris Aubeck is said to have reported that in Adrano, Catania, Italy, on June 25, 1978, late in the afternoon, several local residents were returning from an expedition to the nearby volcanic Mt Etna.

They stopped their car as they noticed what appeared to be two headlights following behind them.

As the lights approached they noticed that they were two human-like figures that glowed in a very bright white light. Each carried in their right hands two very luminous flashing objects.

The terrified witnesses fled.

The source indication is a broken link.

Points to consider:

There is a definite possibility that the story has to do with a number of other stories on Mount Etna that were promoted by the so-called contactee Eugenio Siragusa, a dangerous UFO cult guru.
