MAY 25, 1978, LENINABAD, KHODZHENT, TAJIKISTAN, SOMEONE:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Albert Rosales indicated in his catalogue that in Leninabad, Khodzhent, Tajikistan, on May 25, 1978, at 04:10 a.m., a well-educated man with a PhD in physics and mathematics living in a house close to the bank of the River Syrdar'ya was suddenly awakened in the middle of the night by a sudden impulse.

When he looked out the window, he noticed a cone-shaped object, which had landed on the river's edge, on the outskirts of town.

Following a further "subconscious impulse", he dressed and went outside to approach the object. The landed cone-shaped object appeared to made out of polished metal, approximately 10-12 meters in diameter. It had an entranceway on the upper part of the cone. The craft had landed on three landing prods, made out of some alloy, dark in tint. In the center of the alien craft were white cylinders, like tanks, about 3 meters in height.

An alien crew consisting of three man-like creatures met him and invited him inside the object.

The aliens are described as almost human in appearance, a little bit taller, wearing tight-fitting flight outfits. The faces were "human in appearance with only slight differences". The hands reportedly had 5 fingers.

Inside the craft he saw what appeared to be "control panels and several armchairs", he saw no other "furniture". He was shown what he was told was a power plant in the center of the object.

After conducting medical tests on the witness, he was supposedly taken to their home planet, a visit that was quick, with no movement sensed by the witness. He was told that their craft "produced a vacuum around it during flights in the atmosphere and transformed electric, magnetic and gravitational fields."

They also told the witness that they lived on a planet called "Sikkam" in the Cygni star system. Upon arriving at that planet, he went outside the craft and was surprised to find a very clear environment, with "landscape and environs resembling those of Western Europe." The weather condition was cloudy and fresh and no sun was visible.

After "staying for a while" he was returned home.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is "Mark A Milkhiker, Anton Anfalov."

Points to consider:

Now that's one utterly typical and "contactee" fable!

Looking for information on the story, I found that there is one Mark Milkhiker who wrote at least one article about some weather or athmospheric phenomenon in "Soviet Studies" in 1968. Perhaps he is the "witness" himself, as he is described as a PhD.

Elsewhere, one can find that the Russian Mark Milkhiker is an "Academician", that he deals with ufology, uses hypnosis to "recover" "hidden memories" from "abductees", that he is involved in the story known as "Alioshenka the alien", an alleged corpse of a small alien said to have been found in the Ural. He allegedly was the victim of a "strange disease", and died of a heart failure at the hospital, following his field investigation and examination of the small corpse.

Anton Anfalov is a reasonable Ukrainian ufologist. He once explained to me that though he used to provide such reports from his documentation to Albert rosales, it did not mean he considers them genuine.
