Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

According to British ufologist Gordon Creighton in the Flying Saucer Review, an alleged kidnapping by saucer occupants occurred in Navegantes Beach, Brazil, on August 31, 1974, at night.

The story says that Antonio De Azevedo was on the beach with his wife, when they saw a discoid object with multicolored lights land near them. It was descrobed as like "two plates with the rims stuck together."

The vivid lights temporarily "paralyzed" the observers.

Three strange short beings wearing greenish spacesuits, with faces that seemed to reflect the green color of their clothes, came out of the flying saucer.

Talking in a strange language, they quickly examined the couple, then took the man into the object; which took off at "incredible speed."

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Navegantes Beach, Brazil, on August 31, 1974, at night, Antonio De Azevedo, an angler, was on the beach with his wife when they saw a discoid object with varicolored lights land close beside them. It was shaped like "two plates with the rims stuck together." The vivid lights temporarily "paralyzed" the observers. From the object emerged "3 strange short beings wearing greenish spacesuits;" their faces "seemed to reflect the green color of their clothes." Conversing in a strange language, they quickly "examined" the angler and his wife, then seized the latter and took her into the object, which took off at incredible speed.

Albert Rosales indicates that the sources are Gordon Creighton, FSR Vol. 21 #2, and Humcat 1974-43.

Points to consider:

The story is in an article about alleged kidnappings by UFO occupants. This particualar story has the unusual feature of describing what appears to be "little green men", the saucer description too fits saucer lore, and in this case, the abduction seems to be a final one since there is no mention that the captured man was ever returned.

There is no sign that it is a credible story, no trace of investigation, no information about how the story came to be known. So far, I have found no mention of the story elsewhere, in particular, no mention in the local sources available to me.
