1965, SOMEWHERE, A LITTLE GIRL:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Kenneth Ring apparently told in a 1984 book that at a place not given, in 1965, at night, a young girl was awakened in the middle of the night by two beings with oval shaped hairless heads, round dark eyes and wearing dark coveralls.

It is said she was taken by the arms and floated out the window, escorted up a ramp into a dark elliptical shaped craft; which had apparently landed on a nearby schoolyard. She was then taken into a room and placed on a table where she was examined. Later she woke up to see a strange eye shaped object examining her. Later she was apparently allowed to play in the schoolyard with some other children. She was eventually floated back to her home.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that at a place not given, in 1965, at night, the witness was awakened in the middle of the night by two beings with oval shaped hairless heads, round dark eyes and wearing dark coveralls. She was taken by the arms and floated out the window. She was escorted up a ramp into a dark elliptical shaped craft, which had apparently landed on a nearby schoolyard. She was then taken into a room and placed on a table where she was examined. Later she woke up to see a strange eye shaped object examining her. Later she was apparently allowed to play in the schoolyard with some other children. She was eventually floated back to her home.

Albert Rosales indicates as source Kenneth Ring PhD, The Omega Project.

Points to consider:

Introduced as an expert in "Near Death Experiments" (NDE), "New Age" writer and "Gaia" proponent, professor of psychology at the University of Connecticut, Kenneth Ring seems not to have provided basic information such as the place, the date, nor when and how it was reported, not to mention an investigation report.

A "witness" aged 5 would call for the highest caution, but what generally occurs in such cases is that a person, once grown up, reads literature about the "alien abductions", vaguely remembers some vague but disturbing childhood memory, without being told that it might have been only a common episode of hypnagogic hallucination. The person would then "consult with experts", who submit her to "sessions of hypnotic regression" and "abductees support group meetings" until obtaining what they believe to be a confirmation that the person lived a "paranormal experience" or was really abducted by aliens. Sessions after sessions, this false interpretation is reinforced, hypnosis recovering true lost memories of fictitious things such as stories read in books, heard from others "abductees", seen in movies, and the experts thus accumulate cases that resemble each other more or less. Prudence is abandoned, and the banal hypnagogic hallucination in childhood can turn into a "whole life of alien abductions".

Serious ufologists long understood this mechanism; but many "New Age" authors and some ufologists still do not want to listen.
