DECEMBER 1965, LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY, USA, THREE WOMEN:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

The Lorenzens reportedly wrote in 1976 that in Lexington, Kentucky, in December 1965, by night, three women attending the Blue Grass Fair saw an object which they initially thought of being an attraction of the fair.

It was apparently something having an lighted and perhaps transparent rounded top, with upright pieces at regular intervals, above a rim or platform encircling it.

In the lit section, they could see silhouettes of people who seemed to do some work.

They observed this hovering object during approximately 5 minutes, and then went on with their doins and did not see how it left.

[Ref. ar1:] ALBERT ROSALES:

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Lexington, Kentucky, on December 1965 at night, three women attending the "Blue Grass Fair" saw an object that at first they thought it was a clever contrivance to attract attention to the fair. Because it was dark the part of the object, which they could best observe, was that portion of the craft, which was illuminated. The object had a rounded top, a wide rim, or platform encircling it, and just above the platform was a lighted, transparent section through which they could see the silhouettes of people who seemed to be "working" at something. The "band of light" or transparent section had upright pieces at regular intervals which the witness took to be structural support members. They watched the object hovering for about 5 minutes, then went about their business and did not see how it departed.

Albert Rosales indicates as source Coral and Jim Lorenzen, Encounters with UFO Occupants.

Points to consider:

Could this be a not investigated, very incomplete version, with errors, of famous case of Lexington in 1976 involving Elaine Thomas, Louise Smith and Mona Stafford, or is this really a different case?

Or could the three women, possibly unfamiliar with the place as they came to the Blue Grass Fair, have watched the airport control tower in the night from a distance? After all, nothing in the description excludes such an explanation.

Below: The control tower at the Blue Grass Airport, Lexington, Kentucky.
